ABOUT MOONLIGHT SKY
Fusion band Moonlight Sky is a Slovenian braid of jazz, rock and diverse rhythms of the Balkan music. It consists of 4 musicians. Guitarist MIHA PETRIC is co-author of the music of Moonlight Sky. He is also composing for various ensembles and writing music for theater and film, for which he received several awards. Bassist JANEZ MODER is the co-author of the music of the group Moonlight Sky. Drummer ŽIGA KOŽAR is one of the most sought after and versatile drummers in Slovenia. He joined the band in 2009. Pianist JAN SEVER joined the band in 2015 and brought a greater stylistic dimension on keyboards to the group and contributes with some classical virtuosity.




GUITAR
Miha is a guitarist, composer and pedagogue from Ljubljana. Ever since he can remember, he has been involved in music on several levels. He leaves his creative mark in the jazz-rock-fusion group Moonlight sky, with which he has released four albums. Their music was played on radio stations in Europe, America, Canada, Russia and Brazil, where they were selected as the best progressive band.We can find him in a classical duet with mag. Ravi Shrestho, ethno ensemble with Macedonian singer Marta Kosturska, trio Petric Zuber Kožar and Hamlet Express. He is the leader of the European cast of African superstar Wiyaala, with whom he has toured throughout Europe.
He also collaborates with other musicians and groups, such as the outstanding Željko Zuber (former bassist with Robben Ford, Whitney Huston and Jay Z.), Andraž Polič, Marko Hatlak, Goran Bojčevski, Traja Brizani and Vasko Atanasovski.
He has performed in many clubs, as well as at many festivals, classical stages and protocol events in Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, the Netherlands and Norway.
But Miha is not only active in music groups, he participates in many theater and film projects, either as a music author or as an instrumentalist. He has collaborated with many famous names, such as Jaša Koceli, Janez Pipan, Jernej Kobal, Barbara Hieng Samobor, Marko Čeh, Vito Taufer, Marko Manojlović, Jure Breceljnik, Boris Bezič, Stanislav Moša, Barbara Zemljič, Gregor Šubic, Aleš Žemlja and others.
In 2017, he received the prestigious award for best film music at the Fimucite International Festival.




BASS GUITAR
Janez is a co-founder of the music group Moonlight Sky and plays a role as a performer, author and arranger of music. He has been an active member of the Slovenian music scene for many years, and he regularly performs abroad. His primary instrument is an electric bass guitar.He began his musical career in high school, and since 2000 he has recorded four albums with Moonlight Sky, where he performs demanding artistic and mostly original music in jazz and rock settings and arranges traditional songs from the wider Balkans.
He has also played with various musicians, such as Marko Hatlak, Goran Bojčevski, Tinkara Kovač and others, and is active in other music groups. One of them is Aritmija (Arrhythmia), with which he recorded two albums (2007, 2010)
He has participated in various important music festivals, both at home and abroad.




DRUMS
Žiga had his first contacts with music as a student of the Music School in Kamnik, and in his younger years he also collaborated with the City Band of Kamnik. Thus began his musical path, which later transformed into his business career.After completing his mentor license at Modern Music School, he began teaching. Initially, he could be found at GIS Muzika Vivi, and later at the Music School Kamnik, at the music school B.A.S.E. and at Rock Academy, where he still teaches.
He has performed with various ensembles, both in Slovenia and abroad. He has collaborated with many famous names, such as the Big Band of RTV Slovenia, the RTV Symphony Orchestra, Peter Erskine, Janez Bončina Benč and others. Today he is considered one of the most sought-after drummers in Slovenia.




KEYBOARDS
Jan is one of the most prominent pianists of his generation in Slovenia. His repertoire includes a diverse collection of classical piano music and chamber music covering all periods and compositional styles. In addition to the classical piano path, parallel musical activity in other musical genres is also noticeable. Namely, he expanded his activities to keyboards and in 2015 began collaborating with the music group Moonlight Sky.Its dimension also includes improvisation, and as a rarity for a classical instrumentalist, in 2017 it premiered a solo and fully improvised Piano Evening.
He began his education at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet and graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, where he graduated and in 2009 completed a specialist piano study. During his schooling, he received numerous awards at national and international competitions, and in 2004 he became the recipient of the Prešeren Student Award.
Since 2005 he has collaborated with various tango ensembles (M. Hatlak & Funtango, Quattro Por Tango, Astorpia), with the ethno / jazz band (Goran Bojčevski Quartet) and the fusion band Moonlight Sky.
He won many awards at a young age. In 1992, at the age of 11 he won the national competition Temsig, and at the age of 24, he recieved the Prešeren Student Award.
As a chamber musician, he has later collaborated with many renowned artists and is a regular guest at major concert cycles and festivals at home and abroad.
